First of all, I haven't run away.. I actually moved into a lovely new flat and was deprived of internet for 2 weeks! I really don't know how I managed to be honest but never mind, here I am! (Thankyou BT!!!)
Today's entry is going to be a simple summer bride make-up look. This is very simple, easy and versatile!
The trick with foundation is you want the 'I'm not wearing any make-up look'. Yes you want your skin to look flawless but also NATURAL and fresh faced! I used Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation £28.50 as it has great coverage with a shade for everyone, lasts all day (even in the summer heat) and looks picture perfect! Set this with a light dust of powder and some rosey blush and you're good to go!
Highlighting is a great way to look youthful and fresh faced on your big day. Benefit High Beam £18.50 is an ultimate beauty blogger favorite but the cheaper version, Eyeko 3 in 1 Glow Cream £8, is JUST as good! Apply a tiny amount of highlighter to your cheek bones, down the centre of your nose and under the highest point of your brows, for a summery shimmer.
I created the bridal eye make-up with the Kryolan Shades 5 Colour Palette £16.30, but it is achievable with the classic Urban Decay Naked Palette £32. Using 'Naked' as a base 'Buck' in the socket, a tiny amount of 'Darkhorse' and then complete with 'Sin' in the inner corners. Highlighting the inner corners of the eye really opens the eye out and creates the illusion of bigger, brighter eyes.
I then completed the look with some natural false lashes (optional) in the outer corners, this gives length and volume without looking OTT! To blend just add a little mascara (black/brown is a lot less harsh than black but it will still have a great effect) add a lick of a natural nude/pink lip stick and your summer bride look is complete!
